@Donna What a great writing/creativity tip! Someone said to me on twitter recently that “ideas are like butterflies.” So true. We must catch them as they zoom through our consciousness.

@Linda As I type this I’m watching my 22 month old color his little heart out, just enjoying the different colors and scribbles … he’s concentrating so hard on it you’d think this was his “job!” Oh yeah … it IS his job

Great Post!

I find my best time of inspiration is the second I wake up. No, seriously!

Sometimes I wake up at 4 or 5am with an idea and I must jump out of bed and get to the computer… once I begin writing – the thoughts continue to flow without effort. Then I go back to bed!

Find your best “creative time” and take advantage!

@Kimberly So glad you’ve committed to getting those thoughts onto paper! You just never know what it might blossom into.

@Judith Now that’s really capitalizing on spontaneous creation, isn’t it? Maybe I’d better stick a pad of paper in my back pocket just in case. Can’t tell you how often an idea hits me and I realize my notebook is oh so far away

I don’t even have journals! LOL!! Any old scrap of paper, napkin, Post-it Note will do. Then it goes into the computer and designed to look like a “masterpiece” (-said very sarcastically).

My whole family knows DO NOT THROW OUT ANY PAPER UNTIL YOU CHECK WITH MOM!! The next great novel may be started on it.
